Currently I am editing my interview with Julie Kane, the Louisiana Poet Laureate. She is such a delight and a great poet. Interviewing her is already a top highlight of 2012.
I wanted to “jazz” up the poetry reading B-roll. Having seen a typographic of an Ira Glass interview by David Shiyang Liu, I decided to use some of the tools on Final Cut Pro X to give some of Kane’s poems the same touch. My plans are to use the “illustrated” poems in the next episode of “Artistically Speaking.”
